World Waternet contributes to integral and sustainable solutions for water problems in the World.
World Waternet makes use of Waternet Experts to support public water organisations by offering sustainable, integral solutions for their water issues. This way, we contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.
It organizes the World Water Forums. World Water Forum This is a very big event, taking place every three years since 1997. World Water Week Every year in August, the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) organizes the World Water Week. It links researchers with policy makers and fosters partnerships among different actors in the water sector.
World of Water
Through Water Operators’ Partnerships (WOPs), in which the total water cycle is involved, World Waternet wants to contribute to integral and sustainable solutions for water problems in the world.
World Waternet is part of a Water Operators Partnership where utilities enter into a partnership with the intention of peer-to-peer learning as well as facilitate access to water services for 10 million people. There are 55 WOPs in the Waternet program where Kenya has three based in Nairobi, Homabay and Naivasha respectively.
The World Water Week (SIWI) will take place from 26 – 31 August in Stockholm. The most relevant topics on this year’s theme “Water, ecosystems and human development” will be discussed. World Waternet will be present at the SIWI.
