This is actually a very well made chess set! I was surprised. The details are great and the “feel” of each piece is wonderful. This entire set makes a wonderful conversation piece and is worth every penny. It of course never replace the Staunton, but it is sometimes nice to play with a theme set such as this.
Each piece of this set is quite detailed and has a very antique look to it. This is a heavy set and actually looks quite good as a decorative item as well as being somewhat functional. I liked it…still do. If you like chess and/or are into this particular era, i.e. medieval, then I can hardly see how you can go wrong with this item.
