Nov 27, 2009 · A cum file is a record of cumulative achievements. Tried to explain this effectively, but I’m not sure I did. I’m also wondering if, since an IEP is a legal contractual document, that a cum file is not an appropriate place for it. 505 Accommodation plans are also not put into cum files in my district and they, too, are legal contracts.

Cum Folders/Permanent Student Records The district is required by law to keep permanent records for each student and to transfer certain documents when that transfers to another district. Some material is inserted in the cum folder and some information is recorded on the folder itself.
