Support Groups Dealing with feelings of grief and sorrow can be overwhelming in the midst of a loss. Our grief support groups offer a private setting for individuals to share, discuss feelings, receive support and offer comfort to others who have shared a similar experience.
Hospice of Spokane support groups are offered at no charge to anyone in our community who is grieving the death of a loved one. All groups are facilitated by master’s-level counselors or professional chaplains. Attending a support group is an opportunity to process and share feelings with others experiencing similar circumstances.
Most hospices provide grief support groups that are open to those who didn’t use hospice services. Funeral homes, hospitals, and places of worship will also have grief support resources and may be able to help you locate a support group.
This is a seasonal group that will meet weekly in November and December. Please call 830-358-5300 to register for this group. Healing the Heart Healing the Heart is a six-week structured support group made up of lectures, followed by group discussion, on the various stages of healing from loss. Potluck Social

Grief Support Watch "Grief: What Helps When It Hurts" This one hour program with Kenneth J. Doka, PhD, MDiv, and Dale Larson, PhD, goes into the how and why of grief and offers practical tips and coping strategies for people grieving a loss.
Our support groups are free of charge, and unless otherwise noted take place at the Yolo Hospice offices in Davis (1909 Galileo Ct., Suite A). We offer ongoing drop-in groups which any member of the community is welcome to attend as-needed.

Hospice of San Luis Obispo offers Support Groups which provide emotional support and education about the grief process and finding comfort through connecting with like-minded individuals. Support Group meetings are offered according to the needs of the community, and often change to meet those needs.
Grief Support. Hospice of Northwest Ohio provides several support groups and workshops to help people of all ages cope with the loss of a loved one. While some people may be afraid to join a group at first, we recommend they give it a try.
